What is a life coach?
A life coach helps individuals reach their personal & aesthetic goals. Whether you want to lose weight, change careers, start living healthier, create a cleaner living space, resolve challenging relationship issues or feel more fulfilled on a daily basis, a life coach keeps you motivated and on track. A coach is nonjudgmental, listens and provides pragmatic tools to help you accomplish your dreams. Besides helping set goals, lifestyle coaches are an outside support system, provide the motivation to succeed and hold you accountable to a set program.
What’s the difference between a therapist and lifestyle coach?
Therapy focuses on healing past hurts. Lifestyle coaching focuses on where you are now and what steps you need to take to create the future you want. Lifestyle coaches create solutions so you can move ahead and conquer your goals immediately.
How does this work?
First, you’ll receive a free 30 minute consultation to assess how you’re feeling and how we mesh. Typically, I work with clients in person or over the phone. The first step is to create a personalized plan that meets your needs. While working together, we will discuss important issues that will help you discover your talents, feelings and needs. I will provide an ear to listen; support, structure, clarity, positivity, insight and tools that will help you get to point B efficiently. On completion of each session, you will often have homework or what I like to call “lifework” that will keep you accountable and tracking your successes. Some clients retain a coach for a lifetime – others use a coach to accomplish short term or project orientated goals at various stages in their life.
How much will this cost?
The big question, huh? The good news is that it truly depends on how aggressive you want your program to be.
I will make a recommendation based on our initial consultation and we can take it from there. But remember, in the words of Benjamin Franklin, – “an investment in knowledge always pays the best interest”.
